Fresca Group businesses are proud to have supported FareShare since 2013, helping to redistribute surplus fresh produce to communities across the UK.

By the end of 2024 — Fresca Group’s 150th anniversary year — Fresca businesses had donated the equivalent of more than 10 million meals through our long-standing partnership with FareShare. This achievement makes Fresca the second-largest donor of fresh produce to FareShare by tonnage, and for the third consecutive year, the group has been recognised as one of FareShare’s Leading Food Partners.

Through FareShare’s nationwide network of food distribution hubs, Fresca has been able to donate surplus produce for more than 15 years, ensuring good-to-eat fresh food reaches those who need it most. Today, Fresca produce is distributed across all 17 of FareShare’s national depots, supporting more than 4,000 charities within FareShare’s wider network of 8,000 partner organisations.

These charities include food banks, organisations supporting people experiencing homelessness, older people’s community groups, school breakfast clubs, community cafés and many others working at the heart of local communities.

The impact of this work is significant. One FareShare partner charity reported that some children attending dedicated breakfast clubs had never eaten fresh fruit or vegetables before being introduced to them through donated produce — a powerful reminder of the importance of access to nutritious food.
